What is Physiotherapy?
The practice of physiotherapy is the assessment of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and cardio respiratory systems, the diagnosis of diseases or disorders associated with physical dysfunction, injury or pain and the treatment, rehabilitation and prevention or relief of physical dysfunction, injury or pain to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment function and promote mobility.

Meet our Registered Physiotherapist - Kelly Hopcraft
Kelly is a registered physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience working in an orthopaedic physiotherapy clinical setting. Kelly completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at McMaster University in 2002 following an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree in 2000.
She has completed continuing education courses in Bone Fit for osteoporosis, breast cancer rehabilitation, acupuncture, manual therapy and mobilization of the fascial system. Kelly has also completed her Pilates Instructor Certification through the Integrative Pilates and Rehabilitation Method for both the mat and reformer program.
Kelly has experience treating a variety of injuries such as postural dysfunction, osteoarthritis, joint and muscle sprain/strains, post-op surgeries/joint replacements, sports injuries, balance retraining, post mastectomy, back and neck pain, tendonitis and so on.
Kelly utilizes a combination of manual therapy, massage, exercise, acupuncture and therapeutic ultrasound during treatments. As a physiotherapist, Kelly enjoys being able to help her clients improve their quality of life, by reducing pain, increasing function, strength and mobility. She brings her kind and caring nature into every session.
While away from the clinic, Kelly spends her time at the hockey arena and baseball diamond with her husband and three boys.
